## 1. Introduction

Lambda Lab Services (“Program”) is the online learning division of Lev’sonic, LLC (“Lev’sonic,” “Company,” “we,” “us,” or “our”). This Privacy Policy & Platform Terms of Use (“Policy”) describes how we collect, use, disclose, and protect your personal information and sets the contractual rules that govern your access to our website, learning‑management system (LMS), courses, discussion forums, and interactive features—including the educational chatbot. By visiting or using any part of the Program, you agree to the terms of this Policy as well as our separate Course Access Policy (which governs pricing, refunds, and the 12‑month license).

If you do not agree, please refrain from accessing or purchasing our courses.

 

2. Definitions

  • Learner / User. Anyone who visits the site, browses content, creates an account, or purchases a course.

  • Personal Information. Data that identifies or can reasonably be linked to an individual (e.g., name, email, billing address, IP address).

  • Platform. The entire digital environment operated by Lev’sonic, including websites, mobile or desktop applications, video hosting, LMS, support portal, and chatbot.

  • Chatbot. The AI‑powered conversational agent provided solely for educational guidance within the Platform.

 

3. Information We Collect

  1. Information you provide directly

    • Account details (name, email, password, telephone)

    • Profile information (occupation, professional interests)

    • Payment information (processed by our third‑party payment processor; Lev’sonic never stores full card numbers)

    • Course interactions (quiz answers, discussion posts, help‑desk tickets, survey responses)

  2. Information collected automatically

    • Device identifiers (IP address, browser type, operating system, screen resolution)

    • Usage logs (course progress, pages viewed, session duration, referring URL)

    • Approximate geolocation derived from IP address

  3. Information from cookies & similar technologies

    • Authentication tokens, session IDs, preference cookies, analytics cookies (e.g., Google Analytics), and pixels used in our marketing emails

 

4. How We Use Your Information

5. Legal Basis for Processing (EEA/UK Users)

Where the EU or UK General Data Protection Regulation applies, we rely on one or more of the following legal bases:

  • Contractual necessity (to deliver the services you purchase)

  • Legitimate interests (to improve the Platform, protect security)

  • Consent (for non‑essential cookies and promotional emails)

  • Legal obligation (to meet bookkeeping or compliance requirements)

 

6. Data Sharing & Disclosure

We share information only as necessary with:

  1. Service Providers – trusted vendors who assist with hosting, payment processing, video streaming, analytics, customer support, email delivery. Each is bound by strict confidentiality and may use data solely to perform services for Lev’sonic.

  2. Legal Compliance – governmental, regulatory, or law‑enforcement authorities when required by law or to protect our rights.

  3. Business Transfers – in connection with a merger, acquisition, or asset sale; you will receive notice of any change in ownership or new uses of your data.

  4. Aggregated/De‑identified Information – non‑identifiable statistics we publish for research or marketing (e.g., “80 % of learners complete Module 3”).

We do not allow advertisers direct access to your identifiable data.

 

7. Cookies and Tracking Technologies

Lev’sonic uses first‑party and third‑party cookies, local storage, and pixel tags to:

  • Authenticate users and keep them logged in

  • Maintain session continuity as you move through lessons

  • Remember preferences (subtitle language, playback speed)

  • Measure performance and improve content

  • Conduct limited, consent‑based remarketing campaigns

You can disable non‑essential cookies via the “Cookie Settings” link in the footer or in your browser, but core functionality may break if you block essential cookies.

 

8. Data Retention & Storage

Personal information tied to your learner account is retained for as long as the account remains active and for a reasonable period thereafter (typically up to 3 years) to resolve disputes, comply with legal obligations, or maintain audit trails. Back‑ups may persist for a limited time beyond deletion but are purged on a rolling basis.

 

9. Information Security

We employ industry‑standard safeguards:

  • TLS encryption for data in transit

  • AES‑256 encryption of backups at rest

  • Role‑based access controls and multi‑factor authentication for staff

  • Regular vulnerability scans, penetration tests, and patch management

  • Payment data handled by PCI‑DSS‑compliant processors

No Internet transmission is ever 100 % secure, and you acknowledge this residual risk by using the Platform.

 

10. Your Choices & Rights

Subject to local laws, you may:

  • Access a copy of your personal data (“right of access”)

  • Correct inaccurate or incomplete information (“right to rectification”)

  • Request deletion of data no longer necessary (“right to erasure”)

  • Object to or limit processing in certain situations (“right to restrict”)

  • Receive your data in a portable format (“right to portability”)

  • Withdraw consent at any time (for marketing or cookies)

## 11. Children’s Privacy

The Platform is intended for adults and learners aged 16 or older. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children under 16. If you believe a child has provided us with data, contact info@lambdalaboratory.com, and we will delete it promptly.

 

## 12. International Data Transfers

Lev’sonic is headquartered in the United States. If you access the Platform from outside the U.S., you consent to your information being transferred to, stored, and processed in the U.S. and other jurisdictions where our service providers operate. Where required, we use Standard Contractual Clauses or equivalent safeguards.

 

13. Educational Chatbot Disclaimer

The Platform includes an AI‑powered chatbot that generates answers to learner questions about different disciplines, including scientific disciplines, such as chromatography, mass spectrometry, and related scientific topics. The chatbot is provided strictly for educational and informational purposes and does not constitute professional advice, regulatory guidance, or a substitute for qualified laboratory training.

  • Lev’sonic does not guarantee the accuracy, completeness, or suitability of any chatbot output.

  • You assume sole responsibility for interpreting and implementing any information provided by the chatbot.

  • Lev’sonic, LLC, and Lambda Lab Services are not liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, consequential, or special damages—including but not limited to equipment damage, data loss, personal injury, or financial loss—arising from reliance on chatbot responses, website content, or any aspect of the learning platform.

Safety‑Critical Applications

If your work involves safety‑critical or regulatory‑compliant activities, consult a qualified professional before acting on information obtained through the chatbot.

Data Collection, Retention & Marketing Use

  • **Conversation Logging ** All interactions with the Chatbot—including prompts, responses, file uploads, and associated metadata—are logged and stored by Lev’sonic, LLC for an unlimited period.

  • **Market Analysis ** The full text exchanged by both parties may be analysed (individually or in aggregate) for product development, service improvement, and broader market‑research purposes.

  • **Marketing Outreach ** Insights derived from your Chatbot interactions and account details may be used to personalise marketing communications. By using the Chatbot, you consent to Lev’sonic contacting you—with promotional or sales content—via any channel you have provided, including e‑mail, SMS, in‑platform messages, or Chatbot pop‑ups.

 

 

14. License & Acceptable Use of the Platform

  1. License Grant. Lev’sonic grants you a limited, non‑exclusive, non‑transferable license to access course materials for your personal learning during the 12‑month access window.

  2. Prohibited Conduct. You shall not:

    • Share passwords or simultaneous log‑ins

    • Copy, download (beyond permitted PDFs), screen‑record, or distribute course videos or quizzes

    • Reverse‑engineer or tamper with the Platform’s code, security, or DRM

    • Upload malware or engage in conduct that degrades system performance

    • Use automated scripts to scrape data or spam other learners

  3. IP Ownership. All course videos, text, graphics, assessments, and platform code are © Lev’sonic, LLC or its licensors. Trademark names and logos may not be used without prior written permission.

Violation may result in immediate termination of access without refund and possible civil or criminal penalties.

 

15. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Lev’sonic’s total liability to you for any claim arising out of or relating to the Platform will not exceed the amount you paid for the individual course giving rise to the claim. Under no circumstances will Lev’sonic be liable for indirect, punitive, special, incidental, or consequential damages, even if we have been advised of the possibility of such damages.

 

16. Changes to This Policy

We may update or revise this Policy to reflect changes in law, technology, or business operations. Material changes will be announced via email or prominent notice on the Platform at least 15 days before they take effect. Continued use after the effective date signifies acceptance of the revised terms.

1. Acceptance of Terms

By visiting, creating an account, purchasing a course, or otherwise using any website, mobile application, learning‑management system ("LMS"), discussion forum, video stream, or chatbot operated under the Lambda Lab Services brand (collectively, the "Platform"), you ("you," "User," or "Learner") enter into a binding contract with Lev’sonic, LLC ("Lev’sonic," "Company," "we," or "us") and agree to these Terms of Use ("Terms"). If you do not agree, do not access, purchase, or use the Platform.

These Terms incorporate by reference the Privacy Policy, the Course Purchase & Access Policy (single upfront payment, 12‑month licence, statutory cooling‑off rights, and 7‑day satisfaction guarantee), and any other legal notices posted on the Platform (collectively, the "Agreement"). Together they form the entire agreement governing your relationship with Lev’sonic.

2. Eligibility & Account Creation

  1. Minimum Age. You must be at least 16 years old (or the legal age of majority in your jurisdiction, if higher) to create an account. Learners aged 13‑15 may participate only with verifiable parental or guardian consent.

  2. Accurate Information. You represent that all registration data you provide is truthful, current, and complete, and agree to keep it updated.

  3. Account Security. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your username and password and for all activities that occur under your account. Notify support@lambdalaboratory.com immediately of any unauthorised use.

3. Licence & Intellectual‑Property Rights

  1. Limited Learning Licence. Upon payment confirmation, Lev’sonic grants you a personal, non‑exclusive, non‑transferable, revocable licence to stream course videos, read texts, participate in quizzes, and download permitted resources solely for your own learning during the twelve‑month access window defined in the Course Purchase & Access Policy.

  2. Ownership. All Platform content—including text, graphics, logos, videos, animations, code, quizzes, and trademarks—is and remains the sole property of Lev’sonic or its licensors and is protected by U.S. and international copyright, trademark, and other intellectual‑property laws.

  3. Prohibited Uses. You may not:

    • Share, sell, rent, or sublicense course materials or log‑in credentials.

    • Download or record streaming videos unless an explicit download link is provided.

    • Screen‑scrape, spider, or data‑mine the Platform.

    • Reverse‑engineer, decompile, or tamper with DRM or security features.

    • Use the Platform or any content for commercial training without prior written permission.

4. Payment & Refunds

  1. Up‑Front Payment. All payments are due in full at the time of purchase. Prices displayed at checkout are inclusive of estimated taxes and mandatory card‑processing surcharges.

  2. Refunds. Refund eligibility is governed by the Course Purchase & Access Policy:

    • Statutory Cooling‑Off (EEA/UK & similar jurisdictions). Consumers may cancel within fourteen (14) days unless they expressly waive the right and begin using the Course.

    • 7‑Day Satisfaction Guarantee (Worldwide). Learners may request a full refund within seven (7) calendar days of purchase, provided they have streamed or downloaded less than 25 % of the Course content.

  3. Refund Method & Timing. Approved refunds are credited to the original payment method within ten (10) business days. Access to the Course terminates when the refund is processed.

5. Third‑Party Resources & Educational Chatbot

5.1 Third‑Party Resources

The Platform may display or embed third‑party text, images, datasets, videos, slide decks, code snippets, calculators, or external links (collectively, "Third‑Party Resources").

  • Prior Consent Secured. Lev’sonic affirms that it has obtained all necessary permissions, licences, or consents from the respective owners before making such resources available.

  • Permissible Use. Your rights to use Third‑Party Resources are limited to the educational purposes stated in Section 3 and are subject to any additional restrictions imposed by the resource owner.

  • Disclaimer. Lev’sonic does not warrant the accuracy or completeness of Third‑Party Resources and disclaims all liability arising from your reliance on them.

5.2 Educational Chatbot

The Platform features an AI‑powered chatbot ("Chatbot") that generates answers to learner questions about chromatography, mass spectrometry, and related scientific topics. The Chatbot is provided strictly for educational and informational purposes and does not constitute professional advice, regulatory guidance, or a substitute for qualified laboratory training.

Data Collection, Retention & Marketing Use

  • Conversation Logging. All Chatbot interactions—including prompts, responses, file uploads, and metadata—are logged and stored by Lev’sonic for an unlimited period.

  • Market Analysis. The full text exchanged by both parties may be analysed for product development, service improvement, and broader market‑research purposes.

  • Lev’sonic is not liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, consequential, or special damages—including equipment damage, data loss, personal injury, or financial loss—arising from reliance on Chatbot responses or any other aspect of the Platform.

6. Safety‑Critical Applications

The Platform, including the Chatbot, is not designed or intended for use in safety‑critical, clinical, or regulatory‑compliant processes. If your work involves activities where inaccurate information could result in harm to persons, property, or the environment, you must obtain independent professional verification before acting on any Platform content. Lev’sonic disclaims all liability arising from such use.

7. User Conduct

You agree to:

  • Use the Platform only for lawful purposes and in accordance with these Terms.

  • Treat instructors, staff, and fellow learners with respect in forums and messaging.

  • Refrain from uploading or transmitting viruses, malware, or harmful code.

  • Not attempt to gain unauthorised access to other accounts, the server, or the LMS back‑end.

  • Refrain from posting content that is defamatory, obscene, harassing, or infringes another’s rights.

Lev’sonic reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to suspend or terminate your account without refund for any violation of these Terms or applicable law.

8. Disclaimer of Warranties

THE PLATFORM, COURSES, CHATBOT, THIRD‑PARTY RESOURCES, AND ALL CONTENT ARE PROVIDED “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE” WITHOUT WARRANTY OF ANY KIND, WHETHER EXPRESS, IMPLIED, OR STATUTORY. LEV’SONIC SPECIFICALLY DISCLAIMS ALL IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, TITLE, AND NON‑INFRINGEMENT AND MAKES NO WARRANTY THAT THE PLATFORM WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, ERROR‑FREE, OR MEET YOUR EXPECTATIONS.

9. Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, LEV’SONIC, LLC, ITS AFFILIATES, DIRECTORS, EMPLOYEES, AGENTS, LICENSORS, OR SUPPLIERS SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES (INCLUDING EQUIPMENT DAMAGE, DATA LOSS, LOST PROFITS, OR PERSONAL INJURY) ARISING OUT OF OR RELATED TO YOUR USE OF OR INABILITY TO USE THE PLATFORM, CHATBOT, THIRD‑PARTY RESOURCES, OR CONTENT, EVEN IF ADVISED OF THE POSSIBILITY OF SUCH DAMAGES. NOTHING IN THESE TERMS EXCLUDES LIABILITY FOR DEATH, PERSONAL INJURY, FRAUD, GROSS NEGLIGENCE, OR ANY LIABILITY THAT CANNOT LEGALLY BE LIMITED. LEV’SONIC’S TOTAL CUMULATIVE LIABILITY FOR ANY CLAIM SHALL NOT EXCEED THE AMOUNT YOU PAID FOR THE COURSE THAT GAVE RISE TO THE CLAIM.

10. Indemnification

You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless Lev’sonic, LLC and its affiliates, officers, directors, employees, and agents from and against any third‑party claims, liabilities, damages, judgments, losses, and expenses (including reasonable attorneys’ fees) arising out of or related to:

  • Your violation of these Terms or any applicable law.

  • Your misuse of the Platform, Chatbot, or Third‑Party Resources.

  • Content you upload, post, or transmit through the Platform.

  • Any activity occurring under your account, whether or not authorised by you.

11. Platform Availability & Maintenance

Lev’sonic strives to keep the Platform operational but may perform scheduled or emergency maintenance, implement updates, or discontinue features at any time without liability. Access may be interrupted, particularly during times of peak demand, system upgrades, or network outages.

12. Termination

Lev’sonic may suspend or terminate your access—immediately and without notice—if we believe you have breached these Terms, infringed intellectual property, or engaged in fraudulent or abusive behaviour. Termination does not relieve you of obligations arising prior to the termination date.

13. Modifications to Terms

We may revise these Terms periodically. Material changes will be announced via email or prominent in‑Platform notice at least 15 days before taking effect. Continued use after the effective date constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms. If a revision materially reduces your rights, you may request a pro‑rated refund for any remaining access period.

14. Governing Law & Dispute Resolution

These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of Florida, USA, without regard to conflict‑of‑law principles. However, if you are a Consumer resident outside the United States, you also享哭 enjoy the protection of the mandatory laws of your country of residence, and you may bring proceedings in that country. Most concerns can be resolved by contacting legal@lambdalaboratory.com. Failing resolution, disputes will be submitted to binding arbitration under the Commercial Arbitration Rules of the American Arbitration Association, except that Consumers may choose to litigate in their local courts.

15. Severability & Waiver

If any provision of these Terms is held unlawful or unenforceable, that provision shall be severed and the remaining provisions will remain in full force. Lev’sonic’s failure to enforce any right or provision will not constitute a waiver of such right or provision.

16. Assignment

You may not assign or transfer your rights or obligations under these Terms without Lev’sonic’s prior written consent. Lev’sonic may freely assign its rights and obligations to an affiliate or in connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets.

17. Entire Agreement

These Terms, together with the Privacy Policy, Course Purchase & Access Policy, and any other legal notices posted on the Platform, constitute the entire agreement between you and Lev’sonic and supersede all prior or contemporaneous communications.
